Hi, I'm Uday.
I tell stories.
I've been listening to and telling stories since my childhood. Back then, I never imagined that a kid circulating torn pages filled with suspense short stories among classmates would one day stand on stage and breathe life into the words and characters he wrote. There weren't many extracurricular activities in my school.
Honestly, I still don't know why or how writing found me... or acting. My first real stage experience came in 11th grade during my JEE coaching days. It was a 2-minute stand-up bit. I got my first laugh that day. The second laugh came during the JEE results. If you don't know JEE, I envy you.
So yes, I'm an engineer. A Computer Science engineer, to be precise. Although during engineering, I probably did more open mics and extracurricular activities than actual engineering projects.
I was an excellent engineer. So I appeared for CAT. If you don't know CAT, I envy you more.
Later, I did an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. Yeah, it makes sense to pursue management after spending four years of youth on engineering.
Today, I work as a Brand Manager at a major IT company, where I tell brand stories through various media and corporate channels. Yeah. Storytelling is a meta-skill.
But beyond work and structured narratives, I'm deeply drawn to unfiltered expression. I like listening to people and understanding them. I'm also a student of music and play a few instruments — guitar, piano, and harmonium — while currently learning classical vocals.
Over the years, I've authored a couple of novels, worked in theatre, been involved in stage production and live performance, and explored filmmaking both on and off camera. I'm also endlessly curious about psychology, human behavior, books, cinema, and the strange little details that make people who they are.
And through all of it, storytelling has remained the common thread. If you feel we'd get along well, I'd love to connect.
